(a) The numbers of persons in receipt of unemployment benefit during the week preceding 28th February, 1959, at the local offices of the Department of Social Welfare in question were as follows: Wexford 541, Enniscorthy 291, New Ross 164 and Gorey 199. (b) The numbers in receipt of unemployment assistance for the same period at these offices were: Wexford 249, Enniscorthy 121, New Ross 67 and Gorey 68.
