Vol. 174 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Travelling Creamery: Suppliers' Request

9.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he has received a request from the suppliers of Tarelton travelling creamery to have their milk collected by lorry and taken to a creamery with a pasteurising plant; and, if so, what action he has taken in the matter.

I am informed by the Dairy Disposal Company Ltd. that they propose to withdraw the travelling creamery from this area at an early date and that pending further consideration of the position they intend to have the milk transported to an existing creamery where the separated milk will be pasteurised before return to the suppliers.
