56.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state in respect of each forestry centre where the incentive bonus scheme is now in operation (a) the number of workers employed when the bonus scheme commenced, (b) the number of forestry workers employed at a recent date, (c) the location of each centre where the bonus scheme operates, and (d) the average monthly bonus earnings per hour in January, February and March.

The information sought by the Deputy in parts (a), (b) and (c) of this question is given hereunder:—

Regarding (d) of the question, as explained to the Deputy in reply to his question on 3rd March, 1959 (Dáil Debates, Vol. 173, No. 3, Cols. 360-362) figures of monthly variation in bonus earnings are not produced on an individual Forest basis. Average earnings figures for all forests for the months in question are given hereunder:—
