Ceisteanna—Questions (Resumed). - Farms Purchased in Open Market.

20.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the number of farms purchased in the open market in each county in 1958-59, and the area, rateable valuation and price in each case.

The information sought, with the exception of details on price, is set out in a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Leas-Cheann Comhairle, will be circulated with the Official Report. The total purchase money involved was £39,126.

Following is the statement:—

LANDS agreed to be purchased by Land Commission under Section 27, Land Act, 1950 during year ended 31st March, 1959.
