Vol. 175 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Renovation of Killarney Mental Hospital Kitchen.

2.

asked the Minister for Health if his Department received a proposal from Kerry County Council in connection with the renovation of the kitchen in the mental hospital at Killarney; and, if so, if he will state the cause of the delay in giving the necessary sanction.

I informed the Mental Hospital Authority on the 16th March, 1959, that they could proceed with a proposed scheme of improvements to the kitchen at Killarney Mental Hospital. Officers of my Department have since discussed the proposals in detail locally with the Resident Medical Superintendent and the professional Consultants concerned. The submission of revised proposals arising out of this discussion is awaited.
