Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rural Electrification in South Kerry.

1.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the areas in South Kerry awaiting rural electrification, and the order of priority in accordance with the present percentage of acceptance in each area in which they are likely to be developed.

I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that the Portmagee rural area, which includes the former Valentia and Ballinaskelligs rural areas, in South Kerry has been selected for development under the rural electrification scheme and that the Board expect construction work to commence in the near future. The remaining rural areas awaiting development in South Kerry are set out as follows in the order of present percentage of acceptances: Bonane, Caherdaniel, Killorglin, Tuosist.
