38.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state (1) the number of pensionable servants on the register in each county council and county borough council on 1st April, 1956, 1957 and 1958, and (2) the names of the county councils which have not yet adopted the Local Government (Superannuation) Act, 1956.

The County Councils of Donegal, Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo have not adopted Part III of the Local Government (Superannuation) Act, 1956. According to particulars furnished by the local authorities concerned the numbers of servants whose names were entered on the Register of Pensionable Servants of each county council and county borough council on the dates in question were as set out in the following statement:—
