Vol. 176 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Griffith Bridge, Cork.

14.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has received further plans from the consulting engineers in regard to Griffith Bridge, Cork; and when construction of the bridge is likely to commence.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a similar question on 16th April last. The discussions and correspondence referred to in that reply are still proceeding. A further report from the Consulting Engineer requested on the 28th May is at present awaited. I cannot, therefore, say when construction of the bridge is likely to commence. So far as my Department is concerned, when the design is fully documented and in order there will be no delay in according approval to it.
