Vesting of the holding in question was deferred pending completion of a Water Trust Deed affecting the Clarke Estate. Some difficulty arose in securing agreement of one of the parties concerned and, in addition, certain legal formalities had to be complied with. The Trust Deed has recently been finally executed and vesting of the holding will proceed as rapidly as possible.
Is the Minister aware that a water trust deed was signed by all the tenants eighteen months ago in his Department?
The difficulties lie outside the Department of Lands.
