As already announced, the total of subscriptions from the public to the £12 million issue of 5¼% National Development Loan, 1979-84, was £10,553,140. In accordance with the underwriting arrangements the balance was taken up in equal amounts by the Banks (including sub-underwriters) and the Government.
The other statistics sought are at present being compiled, and will be supplied to the Deputy if he puts down an appropriate question next week.
