Vol. 178 No. 3

Written Answers. - Land Revaluation.

71.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of each county borough the dates on which any revaluation of lands was undertaken and the total land valuation in each case immediately before and after each valuation.

The only County Boroughs where lands were revalued were the County Boroughs of Dublin and Waterford. These lands were revalued as part of a general revaluation of lands and buildings in those areas.

The revaluation of Dublin became effective for rating purposes from 1 April, 1916, the total land valuations there being increased from £8,497 to £9,321. Similarly, the revaluation of Waterford became effective from 1 April, 1926, the total land valuations being increased from £1,618 to £1,814.
