Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Public Lighting in Kerry Villages.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he is aware that the Kerry County Council have made the necessary financial provision for the installation of public lighting in the villages of Glenbeigh and Sneem; and if the Electricity Supply Board will have the lights set up early in December, if possible.

I have referred the Deputy's inquiry to the Electricity Supply Board with a request that they will reply to him direct. I understand that a favourable reply may be expected.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he is aware that the installation of the rural electrification scheme in Valentia Island is nearing completion; and whether the Electricity Supply Board authorities in Kerry will install public lighting in the villages of Knightstown and Chapeltown before removing their staff and equipment from the Island.

I have referred the Deputy's inquiry to the Electricity Supply Board with a request that they will reply to him direct.
