Vol. 178 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Housing Scheme Rents.

66.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state how the saving effected in the cost of the Careys Road, Limerick, housing scheme will result in 10 per cent. lower rents.

My reply to a supplementary question arising from the Deputy's question of 2nd December did not state that the reduced tender accepted for the Careys Road Scheme would result in 10 per cent. lower rents. I indicated that the approximate average reduction in economic rent based on the reductions in the amounts of the tenders for the houses would be 10 per cent.
