Vol. 179 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Machinery: Revenue from Imports from Britain.

20.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the total amount of tax, levy or customs duty collected on agricultural machinery imported from Britain in the years 1958 and 1959.

The total amounts of customs duties collected on agricultural machinery imported from Britain in the years 1958 and 1959 were respectively £36,500 and £35,000 approximately.

Agricultural machinery is not subject to Special Import Levy.

Does that include new and secondhand machinery?

I think so. I am not positive about it.
