It has been accepted in principle that the permanent whole-time lay teachers in the Day Trades Preparatory School be transferred to the staff of the City of Cork Vocational Education Committee for subsequent secondment to the School. Certain consequential financial arrangements regarding the school are still under consideration but it is hoped to be in a position to convey the full decision in the matter shortly.
