Vol. 180 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Insurably Employed Persons.

1.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the number of insurably employed persons in the city and county of Dublin at the latest available date and at the corresponding date in 1959.

As I have stated on previous occasions in reply to similar questions, it is not possible to determine how many of the insured population are in employment at any particular date. Estimates, of the average numbers in insurable employment in the State as a whole over a period, may be based on the numbers of insurance stamps sold, but no such estimates can be made for individual counties. The information requested by the Deputy is not, therefore, available.
