Dáil Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 16 Mar 1960

Vol. 180 No. 5

Business of Dáil.

Does the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs feel that if he has ten or 15 minutes to answer the debate on the Broadcasting Authority Bill he can do so adequately? If he would prefer to postpone his reply on the television aspects of the Bill to the next day, we would be very happy to meet him.

I could not reply adequately in the time available today.

We would be anxious to meet the Minister. If the Minister would prefer that we should adjourn now and resume his reply when the House next meets, the Opposition will be anxious to meet him but I am not pressing that. Would he prefer that?

Can we do that, Sir?

It is a matter for the House, if the House wishes to adjourn.

If the Taoiseach makes a motion to that effect, I shall support him.

I move that the Dáil do now adjourn.

Agreed.

The Dáil adjourned at 4.45 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, 22nd March, 1960.
