Vol. 180 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Tipperary Estate.

30.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring the Hodgins Estate at Knockatoreen, The Commons, Thurles, County Tipperary, for division amongst uneconomic holders, landless men and cottiers in the area.

I presume the Deputy is referring to a 95 acre estate involving lands in the townlands of Knockatoreen and Bawnlea. The Land Commission recently instituted proceedings for acquisition of these lands and statutory notices to that effect have been served on the owner.
