Vol. 180 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Survey of Cork River.

14.

asked the Minister for Finance if a survey of the Owenbue River from Crossbarry to Carrigaline, County Cork, under the intermediate drainage scheme will be arranged in the near future in view of the extensive acreage awaiting reclamation at comparatively low costs as estimated by the county council engineer.

The Owenboy River is included in the published programme of arterial drainage for larger catchments. It will be considered in due course for treatment in that programme but I cannot say when it can be reached.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary give us an idea when it might be reached?

We are reaching quite a few now.

The Parliamentary Secretary might answer the Question that was put down to him.
