The following statement shows the total number of farms in the East and Midland region covered by the National Farm Survey 1957-58 and the number of these farms in which farm expenses included (i) expenses in respect of own farm tractors, (ii) portion of the expenses incurred in connection with the family car and (iii) expenses in respect of the hire of machinery and implements.
