Vol. 181 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dog Licences.

6.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Finance the number of dog licences on the latest available date in respect of each county and county borough.

As the Deputy is aware dog licences are issued through post offices. Records are not kept from which the information requested could readily be given. The work of compiling statistics, from present records, of the numbers issued in each county and county borough would involve an altogether disproportionate expenditure of time.

The total number of licences issued in the year ended 31st March, 1960, was 254,400.
