Vol. 181 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Internal Telephone Extensions.

26.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the serious inconvenience to business in Dublin City caused by delays on the part of his Department in installing internal extensions to telephones when required; and, if so, what steps are being taken to remedy the matter.

Internal telephone extensions are usually installed in Dublin within a few weeks of the date of application. A small number of such applications is delayed at present due to temporary shortage of the particular switchboards required.
