Dáil Éireann debate -
Thursday, 5 May 1960

Vol. 181 No. 6

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business as set out on the Order Paper in the following order: Nos. 7, 8 and 6 (Votes 51 and 52). If not already reached, it is proposed to interrupt business at 12 o'clock to take No. 8 and No. 6. Questions will be taken at 3 o'clock.

Can the Taoiseach tell the House whether it is proposed to take No. 9 next week?

Is it intended to conclude the debate on the Budget prior to taking No. 9?

I should hope so.

Might I ask the Taoiseach whether it is intended to make copies of the judges' report on University College, Dublin, available to interested members of the public between now and the date on which we resume that debate?

That has been done. It has been completely published in the newspapers, so far as I know.

Quite a number of people and interested groups are very anxious to know whether they can obtain copies.

Copies are on sale at the Stationery Office.

Since when?

Last week some time.

I made inquiries during the past four days. No copies were available in the Stationery Office two days ago.

May I ask the Taoiseach is there a copy available for each Deputy now?

There are a number of copies available in the Library.

For each Deputy?

Surely the Taoiseach is aware that there are not sufficient copies available in the Library for all Deputies?

If any Deputy wants a copy, it will be supplied to him.

That is news.

Did the Deputy ask for a copy and not get one? I got one when I wanted it.

Deputy Sweetman is different.
