According to returns furnished by local authorities, 143 dispensaries and 96 dispensary depots required replacement at the beginning of 1960. 38 dispensaries and 11 dispensary depots were listed to be replaced during the year, mainly by new buildings. In a few instances, replacement is taking the form of reconstruction of existing premises or transfer to other more suitable premises.
