Vol. 181 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Shanbally (Tipperary) Estate.

22.

asked the Minister for Lands when it is proposed to divide the Pole-Carew Estate at Shanbally, Clogheen, County Tipperary, amongst uneconomic holders, landless men and cottiers in the area.

Of 935 acres acquired, an area of 210 acres was allocated for afforestation in February of this year. Proposals are at present being prepared for disposal of the main part of the estate. Though it is not as yet possible to indicate when allotment will take place I can say that many of the necessary inquiries on the ground have been completed.
