asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he has received complaints or reports of unusual interference with radio reception in Cork City in recent weeks; and, if so, what steps have been taken to eradicate this interference.

5.
I have been informed by the Director of Broadcasting that no complaints or reports of unusual interference with radio reception in Cork City have been received in recent weeks.
I take it that the Minister will take this as a complaint and direct that appropriate inquiries be made. May I assume that? I do not suppose Deputy Barrett put down this Question if there were no complaints about reception.
Perhaps there is a valve gone in his own set.
There must be an explanation.
The Deputy asked about "unusual interference" but we have no reports regarding unusual interference.
It is the usual interference.
