Mr. K. Egan

asked the Minister for Transport and Power the total quantity of (a) milled peat and (b) sod peat produced by Bord na Móna in County Offaly in 1959.

Mr. Childers

I am informed by Bord na Móna that 1,461,692 tons of milled peat and 220,724 tons of sod peat were produced by the Board in Co. Offaly during the 1959 production season.
