Vol. 182 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing Grants for Farmers.

38.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that small farmers are unable to avail of the housing grants in view of the high cost of building; and if he will consider giving a bigger grant to farmers under a certain valuation.

I am not so aware. The levels and scope of application of several classes of these grants were increased or widened by the Housing (Amendment) Act, 1958, the provisions of which have now been extended to 31st March, 1962.
