Vol. 182 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Extension to Erinville Hospital, Cork.

5.

asked the Minister for Health the present position regarding the proposed extension to Erinville Hospital, Cork.

Tenders for the building and ancillary work at Erinville Hospital have been received by the hospital authorities. As the Deputy is aware certain difficulties arose in connection with the financing of the scheme in so far as the question of the hospital's contribution from moneys received originally from sweepstake sources is concerned. I have made certain suggestions to the hospital as to how to get over their difficulties and it is hoped that a satisfactory solution of the problem will soon be reached. It will then be possible to give a final decision on the tenders.
