Vol. 182 No. 7

Written Answers. - Family Farm Income, Hired Labour Expenses and Labour Units.

29.

asked the Taoiseach if he will give particulars of family farm income, hired labour expenses and labour units for (a) east and midland region and (b) south region in respect of farms having hired labour expenses included in the National Farm Survey 1955-56, 1956-57 and 1957-58 (giving separate details for each year) in the form of a reply of 12th May, 1960, and expressing "hired labour expenses per farm" as a percentage of "family farm income per farm".

30.

asked the Taoiseach if he will give particulars of family farm income, hired labour expenses and labour units for all regions combined in respect of the farm survey years 1955-56, 1956-57 and 1957-58 (giving separate figures for each year); and the average figures for the three years of the survey in the form of the reply to the previous question.

I propose to take Questions 29 and 30 together. It is regretted that the information requested cannot be made available to the Deputy as it is considered that the value of the additional particulars now requested is not such as would justify the expenditure of time and effort necessary for their abstraction.
