Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tobacco, Beer, Whiskey, Petrol and Oil Consumption.

asked the Minister for Finance the estimated consumption of (a) tobacco, (b) beer, (c) whiskey and (d) petrol and oil in each of the financial years 1954-55 to 1959-60, inclusive, expressed as a percentage of consumption in 1953-54 and calculated in each case by reference to quantities retained for home consumption for duty purposes.

As the answer is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—
