asked the Minister for Finance if he is prepared to introduce legislation to amend the Finance (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1956, as subsequently amended, so as to provide tax exemption for Irish insurance companies in respect of the business transacted by them abroad.

The answer is in the negative.
