The number of Statutory Instruments which were made since 1947 is 4,260. Each of the annual volumes of such Statutory Instruments contains an index to the instruments included in the volume. A consolidated index covering the years 1948-58 is at present in course of completion by the Statute Law Reform and Consolidation Office. It is hoped to have it published in the first half of 1961. The extent of the work and some unforeseen interruptions in the relevant staffing arrangements have contributed to the delay in publishing it.
