Vol. 184 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Boherbue (Cork) School.

47.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that Boherbue National School, which was erected in 1935, is the only building in the village not connected to the public water and sewerage systems; and, if so, when this urgent work will be carried out.

I am aware that Boherbue National School is not connected to the public water and sewerage supply systems.

My Department has sanctioned a grant towards the cost of a major scheme of improvements to the school. The scheme will include the provision of water-flushed sanitary facilities, which will be connected to the public water and sewerage systems.

Arrangements for the carrying out of the scheme are being made by the Commissioners of Public Works. I understand that they hope to have working drawings for the scheme prepared at an early date.
