Vol. 184 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Allocation of Galway Turbary.

50.

asked the Minister for Lands when it is intended to allocate turbary to deserving applicants in the Derrybrien area, County Galway.

With a view to providing turbary for deserving applicants in this district, the Land Commission, two months ago, reached agreement with four landowners for the purchase of an aggregate area of 537 acres— mainly turbary—in Derrybrien North. Arrangements will be made to take possession as soon as the owners concerned show clear title to the lands and allotment proposals will be formulated as soon as possible thereafter.
