Vol. 184 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Special Stamp Issues.

53.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs what special commemorative or other postal stamp issues are planned for the years 1961 and 1962.

Plans regarding new postage stamp issues for next year or so far ahead as 1962 have not yet been definitely settled, and it would be contrary to established practice to anticipate the Government's decision on the matter by indicating at this stage the subjects being considered. An announcement will be made as and when a decision is taken to issue any new stamp or stamps.

Perhaps the Minister would consider commemorating the services of the boys in the Congo when he is considering the issue of new stamps.

All claims received will be considered.
