Vol. 184 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Parent-Teacher Organisations.

63.

asked the Minister for Education whether he will consider the setting up of parent-teacher organisations in all national schools in order to create more active interest by parents in such schools.

Under the existing system of national education, the managers are the persons charged with the direct government of schools. I do not propose to change this system and I have, therefore, no function in the setting up of parent-teacher organisations.
