Vol. 185 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fethard Regional Water Supply.

47.

asked the Minister for Local Government if a proposal to sanction tenders received for the carrying out of the Fethard regional water supply scheme, County Tipperary, has been received in his Department; if so, if the tenders are satisfactory and in accordance with the advertisement issued; and if in view of the dire necessity for water installation in the town of Killenaule, the village of Drangan and the intermediary town-lands between Killenaule and Clooneen, he will take immediate steps to expedite the scheme.

No such proposal has been received. The closing date for tenders for the first section of the Fethard Regional Water Supply Scheme, which will provide for the town of Killenaule and the areas between that town and Clooneen, is the 16th December. The supply for Drangan will be included in the contract for the second section which has not been advertised yet.
