asked the Minister for Agriculture what was the number of turkeys exported through Dublin Port to Great Britain during the weeks ended 3rd December, 1960, and 10th December, 1960; and how many were shipped through the same port during the same periods last year.

Exports of turkeys through Dublin Port to Great Britain in the weeks ended 3rd December, 1960, and 10th December, 1960, were 808 cases and 1,565 cases, respectively. The corresponding figures for the weeks ended 5th December, 1959, and 12th December, 1959, were 4,242 cases and 8,849 cases, respectively. An average of 8 birds may be reckoned per case.
