As I announced in Dáil Éireann last may when introducing the Estimates for my Department, the Preparatory College system as a system of recruitment of candidates for national teaching is being discontinued, except in relation to Coláiste Moibhí, the Preparatory College for Protestant candidates. There will, therefore, be no entrance examination for recruitment to these colleges in 1961 or henceforth.
