asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applications for telephone service at present on hands from residents in County Kildare; and when it is expected that the service will be provided for them.

Apart from 56 telephones which are in course of installation, there are 64 applicants (all of whom applied for service within the past twelve months) waiting for telephone service in County Kildare. It is expected that the waiting applicants will be given service during the current year.
