asked the Minister for Agriculture the number of commissions appointed by him which are at present functioning, the respective dates of their appointment and the subject matter for consideration by each commission where this is not apparent from its title.

The answer is none.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the number of inter-departmental committees appointed by him which are at present functioning, the respective dates of their appointment and the subject matter for consideration by each committee where this is not apparent from its title.

2. Inter-Departmental Committee on the Curragh Lands

October, 1956

To examine how improvements in the quality and user of the Curragh lands might be effected and financed without ultimate cost to the Exchequer.

3. Farm Apprenticeship Scheme Committee of Officials

January, 1961

To examine the draft Farm Apprenticeship Scheme submitted by the Joint Committee of the National Farmers' Association and Macra na Feirme.

* This is a permanent committee set up in accordance with the constitution of the FAO.
