andMr. T. Lynch asked the Minister for Health if he is aware of the differential rates of pay between mental nurses in the Dublin and rural areas; and if he will take steps to establish parity of pay between the nurses in the two areas.

A uniform scale of salary applies to mental nurses employed in district mental hospitals throughout the country.

There is no differential between the scale applicable to mental nurses employed in Dublin and those employed in other areas.
