Vol. 187 No. 3

Written Answers. - Imports and Exports: Values.

25.

asked the Taoiseach the total values of (a) imports, (b) exports and (c) the import excess for 1960 in the terms of a reply of 6th April, 1960.

The values at 1956 prices of the imports, total exports and import excess for 1960 are provisionally estimated at £226.6 million, £142.2 million and £84.4 million respectively. In making these estimates the official import and domestic export price (unit value) index numbers were used to revalue the 1960 totals at 1956 prices.
