Vol. 187 No. 5

Written Answers. - Increases in Road Workers' Wages.

39.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state separately for each county council for (a) 1960 and (b) 1961 the amount and operative date of increases in road workers' wages; and if he will give details of any proposals for increases awaiting sanction in his Department.

The amount and effective date of each increase in the weekly wages of county council road workers in the years 1960 and 1961 are set out in the following statement. Proposals which have been received from the Clare and Monaghan county councils for the award of increases of 10/- and 7/6 per week respectively to road workers with effect from the 1st and 3rd April, 1961 respectively are being examined in my Department.
