Employment is a variable factor, especially in the case of industrial activities subject to seasonal fluctuations. It is estimated, however, on the basis of the most recent figures available that the actual employment in these concerns is approximately 400. The employment is expected to exceed 600 at full production.
Thirteen current industrial proposals in relation to County Galway have come to my notice. Of these nine have reached a stage at which they are likely to come to fruition.
