asked the Taoiseach if he will give the figures for each of the years 1950-59 of (a) imports and (b) exports of apples, together with the countries of origin of the imports and the countries of destination of the exports, and, in the case of the exports, the ports through which they were sent.

The quantity and value of (a) imports and (b) exports of apples, together with the countries of origin of the imports and the countries of destination of the exports, for each of the years 1950-1959 are as follows:—

Particulars of external trade by Ports were compiled at five yearly intervals in 1954 and 1959 for certain commodities and groups of commodities. Apples were not separately distinguished and accordingly particulars of exports of apples through the ports are not available.
