Vol. 188 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Weeds in Dublin Gardens.

16.

asked the Minister for Agriculture what regulations are in force with regard to weeds growing in Dublin gardens; and what steps will be taken to ensure that such weeds will not be allowed to grow, particularly in front gardens in residential areas of the city.

The Orders made under the Noxious Weeds Act 1936 apply to the whole of the State and under the Orders ragwort, thistle, dock, and common barberry are scheduled as noxious weeds. The enforcement of the Orders is a matter for the Garda Síochána.
