Vol. 189 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rearrangement of Spiddal Holdings.

19.

asked the Minister for Lands when he expects his Department will be in a position to rearrange the holdings in the townland of Kilroe West, Spiddal, County Galway.

Rearrangement of holdings in this townland will be put in hands as soon as possible. As the Land Commission have no lands on hands in the immediate locality, formulation of satisfactory rearrangement proposals may depend on the willingness of some tenants to migrate. In this connection, the response to previous efforts by the Land Commission to effect migrations from the townland was not encouraging.
