asked the Taoiseach the national income per head of the population in the State and similar particulars in respect of the countries in O.E.E.C.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - National Income.
I propose with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle to circulate with the Official Report a statement showing the information available. In order that the data for the different countries may be compared official exchange rates were used to express the national income per head of population in each country in U.S. dollars. It was not possible to effect the conversion for Iceland, Spain and Turkey as there was more than one rate of exchange in use in these countries.
Following is the statement:—
